Purpose of Parish Finance Council: The Parish Finance Council sees that proper financial records are maintained for all parish assets and liabilities, revenues and expenses in accord with the Chart of Accounts approved by the Diocesan Finance Office. The Parish Finance Council assists the Pastor in developing the Annual Parish Budget and reviews monthly the Parish Financial Report and the Budget results to date. As required by Cannon Law, members of the Parish Finance Council are appointed by the Pastor and serve for a three year term. One can be reappointed, but cannot serve on the Parish Finance Council if you are a member of the Parish Advisory Council.
